Dortmund is our own city. We are based in Mengede, know the old buildings in the Kreuzviertel as well as the new builds at Phoenix-See, and do not need half a day of travel for a survey.

In Dortmund two very different moves are often only a few kilometres apart. In Kreuzviertel and Saarlandstraßenviertel there are old buildings with four and five floors, narrow stairwells and no elevator — there the carry distance decides the duration, not the route. In Hörde, at Phoenix-See and in parts of Innenstadt-Ost there are elevators, but property managers who require registration and a fixed time window.
Because our vehicle is based here, we can react at shorter notice than from outside. A site visit in the afternoon is usually possible, and if an appointment falls through it does not cost us a 60-kilometre empty run. That is also why in Dortmund we take on small jobs that would not pay off in Köln.

Can you also come at short notice?
In Dortmund often yes. Because vehicle and crew are based here, a viewing can often be fitted in within one to two days. For moving day itself we need more lead time once a no-parking zone is required.

Do you also handle small moves within the city?
Yes. A one-room move from Hörde to Hombruch is a normal job for us because there is no travel surcharge. Outside Dortmund it is often only worthwhile for both sides from a certain size.

Who applies for the no-parking zone?
We can take care of that on request. The city fee is passed on and shown separately in the quote, so it remains clear what is the authority charge and what is our service.
