The five factors that move the price
1. Area, rooms and volume
More square metres usually mean more boxes, more furniture, more loading time. Two homes with the same area can differ if one is fully furnished and the other is already cleared. That is why we ask about home type, rooms and special items (piano, safe, large wardrobes).
2. Floor and elevator
An old building without an elevator is one of the most common reasons other companies add surcharges later. Stairs cost time and people. With a lift, the effort drops clearly. Always state floor and elevator before the quote — with us that line is visible in the calculation.
3. Distance and region in NRW
In the Ruhr area (for example moving in Dortmund, moving in Bochum) short same-day tours are common. More distant cities we plan as a day tour with travel to and from included in the fixed price. Distance alone says little if parking and carry paths are difficult.
4. Parking and no-parking zone
If the van is far away, every trip gets longer. In city centres we apply for the no-parking zone in time — often with 10–14 days’ lead time. It is planning work, but it saves time on moving day.
5. Extra services

Fixed price instead of surprises on moving day
At HV Transport at least two movers and a van are included. After the survey, the written fixed price applies on moving day — even if the job takes longer than estimated. That is the difference between a solid calculation and dumping offers that “forget” floors or bulky items later.
